Grade 6: Foundation Year Programme (FYP)

Foundation Year Programme (FYP)

Entering Grade 6 at the European School of Excellence (ESE) marks the true beginning of a student’s structured academic journey. Positioned as a Foundation Year Programme, this stage is designed to build strong concepts, disciplined learning habits, and essential academic skills that prepare students for the demands of Pre-O Level, O Level, and beyond. The focus is not on rushing ahead, but on building clarity, confidence, and control over learning. Students are gradually introduced to the O Level approach in a simplified, pressure-free manner, allowing them to adapt early while developing the mindset required for long-term academic success. With structured guidance, continuous evaluation, and close mentoring, Grade 6 lays the groundwork for students to grow into confident, capable, and independent learners.

Academic Focus

Grade 6 curriculum is carefully designed to:

Faculty remain closely engaged, identifying learning gaps early and supporting students through targeted intervention.

Scholarships & Financial Support

Merit and potential matter at the European School of Excellence (ESE). Our transparent financial aid programs let talented students from any background get an excellent academic experience, without lowering our standards or values. All scholarships and concessions are granted based on merit and periodically reassessed for fairness.

ESE truly cares about offering every talented student a fair chance to quality education. If finances are a major problem, deserving students can get help covering up to 70% of tuition fees after we carefully and confidentially review their family’s financial situation. We make sure no bright student has to stop studying just because access to funds is limited. Our programs bridge the gap so potential isn’t lost.

We love seeing families grow with us! To make things a little easier for parents with more than one child enrolled at ESE, a 20% tuition fee concession is granted to the second and all subsequent siblings. This special support applies only to tuition and is provided in full accordance with our institutional policies.

  • ESE loves celebrating students who shine outside the classroom too! To honour real excellence in sports or co-curricular activities, we offer one special scholarship each academic year, covering up to 50% of tuition fees for a student who shows truly outstanding performance. It’s our way of saying: your hard work and potential matter to us, and we want you to keep progressing.
  • Only the ESE Sports Board decides who gets this scholarship, and they base it entirely on merit, strong discipline, and how beautifully the student balances their amazing extracurricular talents with being responsible in their studies. We truly admire and want to encourage that kind of well-rounded dedication.
