Code of Conduct

An Independent Thinker

• Participate with full attention in classes, seminars, tutorials, and assessments
• Meet every deadline for assignments and coursework submission
• Maintain a minimum of 60% marks in internal assessments
• Comply fully with academic calendars, assessment schedules, and exam rules
• Report any absence due to illness or emergency through a formal channel

Attendance Policy

• Students must maintain at least 75% attendance to be eligible for external exams.
• Mark their own attendance with honesty. Any proxy attendance is a serious disciplinary matter
• Note that late entry to class is allowed only if the teacher approves
• Students are responsible for catching up on missed lessons and assignments.

Academic Integrity

• Cancellation of assignments or exams
• Disciplinary action
• Permanent notation on your internal academic record

Campus Conduct Guidelines

Students must:

• Respect cultural, religious, and personal differences among peers
• Participate actively but respectfully in debates, presentations, and co-curricular activities
• Arrive on time and be prepared for all lessons and activities
• Dress neatly and professionally according to school norms
• Use technology responsibly, adhering to school IT guidelines
• Report any unsafe behavior, bullying, or harassment immediately

Complaints Handling & Disciplinary Measures

• Bring any concerns to your Academic Advisor first for fair and prompt handling
• Should it remain unresolved, escalation is possible to Programme Coordinators or Academic Leadership
• The Disciplinary Committee may be convened to impose sanctions where justified

Any fines imposed are contributed to trusted charitable causes, including Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Edhi Centre.

Anti-Harassment Policy

ESE maintains a strict policy against harassment and discrimination, fully aligned with national laws and HEC guidelines.

• Applies to all students, faculty, staff, contractors, and visitors
• Every complaint is managed confidentially and with complete impartiality
• Any form of retaliation against those who raise concerns is strictly forbidden
• Investigations are thorough and may lead to disciplinary action when justified
• We run regular awareness sessions and training programmes for the entire community
